ISA After Hours AI Augsburg

About

Who is behind ISA After Hours AI

ISA After Hours AI is run by Ofir Wienerman, an AI systems developer and consultant in Augsburg who came to AI from the data world and has worked in the field for more than 20 years. Today he helps organisations bring AI systems into their daily work. He started this site as a parent at the International School Augsburg, to get more AI activity going at the school and beyond.

Why this site exists

It began as an initiative to promote AI activity at the International School Augsburg: more people trying these tools, comparing notes and learning from each other. The community around it, ISA After Hours, is a group of Israeli and international tech professionals in Augsburg, most of us with children at the school. We meet after work and talk about what these tools actually do.

The site grew from there. Today it publishes AI news and practical guides in English for anyone working in Germany: new models and prices, what changed in the tools you already use, and how to get better results at work.

Independent: this is not the school's site

ISA After Hours AI is a private, independent initiative. It is not run by, funded by or speaking for the International School Augsburg. "ISA Augsburg" is the school's name, and the school's own website is isa-augsburg.com. For anything about the school itself, contact the school.

About Ofir

Ofir builds AI systems for a living. He came to AI from the data world and has worked in the field for more than 20 years, so he starts with the data underneath, which is where many AI projects get stuck. Today he helps organisations work out where AI genuinely pays off, build the system, and get it into the hands of the people who will use it every day.

How posts are made

  • Primary sources first. Vendor documentation, changelogs, standards drafts and official announcements. Every post ends with a dated list of its sources.
  • Tested or reported, and we say which. Some posts describe tests we ran ourselves; others summarise an announcement and its coverage. Each post makes clear which kind it is.
  • Disagreement is printed, not hidden. When sources contradict each other, for example about who can use a feature yet, the post says so.
  • AI helps, a person decides. We use AI tools, including Claude, for research and drafting, and some illustrations are AI-generated. Ofir reads and approves every post before it is published.
